Faith is forced to grow Based on Nothing!
In Old Testament times God used to give man a vision or a goal and He would say, “I AM going to make that happen next week or next year.” But now it is not like that!
When an individual desires to trust God – it begins like this: You’re wanting to have faith and trust in God is forced to be built and based on nothing!
I want to emphasize this: You begin with the desire in your heart for God! However, it is based on nothing at that point in your life! I say again it is based on nothing! You will get steadfast from that, because you have nothing to base your faith on - but you have faith anyway!
How can Satan take it away? He can’t! There is nothing he can steal! No matter what he steals, from your life if it is based on nothing, it doesn’t matter. You see Satan can’t steal your faith and trust in God unless you let him!
If you truly want faith and trust in God, you must keep going forward! And, you know what? That is the most important thing! It is an up-hill climb I can tell you that! However, that is what really counts. Keep moving forward! That is the stuff that really counts!
When you are on that up-hill climb, it is likened to the following:
A weightlifter going for the burn on the last set of reps! The further you push yourself to go a few more steps, the more God is being able to accomplish in you what He desires. The harder it gets and the more you continue to climb, that is when it really counts! It is a hard thing. It is hard to see that there is an end to the mountain. It is even hard to see that there is another side to the mountain. You begin to think it is a one-sided mountain! It seems as if it is a one-sided mountain! It seems like it is only uphill, and that the mountain is backed up to a wall. It appears unending – no way downside. Uphill both ways, and the only thing to do is keep pushing forward and hang in there. You won’t regret it!
