Are You Born Again?

Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews. He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do apart from the presence of God.” Jesus answered him, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can anyone be born after having grown old? Can one enter a second time into the mother’s womb and be born?”  Jesus answered, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:1-9 (NRSV)

Most Christians do not think about allowing God to change them!

Many are called but few are chosen because - they will not allow God to prepare them and change them so that they can carry out their calling properly and appropriately!

Rebirth comes only through the transformation process!  Why?  Because the transformation process is the - being born again process!

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.  Romans 2:1-13 (NIV)

The following are some of the predominate characteristics of Satan’s nature that must go from our lives, and this comes through the transformation process: Lying, holding grudges, manipulate others, meanness, gossip, slandering, pursues revenge, sneaky, unfaithful, abuses, cunning, proud, brings discord, envies, out of control, hates, distorts, accuses, steals, destroys, kills, controlling, conceit, brings hurt and pain, etc.

“When someone truly accepts Jesus into their life, the predominate character and nature of Satan has to leave their life.  It has to!”
