Definition of listening:

Listening is …

            one hundred percent obedience,

which includes your mind.

If you haven’t gotten the idea to obey God in your mind 100% with your thoughts, you can’t obey in your actions 100%. There must be both things going on, so that each will work. For you to obey God, you must be listening to him. And to hear God, you must obey Him!

It is 100% obedience, not just obedience to the Word of God. It is not just obedience to what you already know God wants you to do. But it is obedience …

in how you do it, and

in how you think it, and

in everything.

It must be 100%, or as close as your best is to 100%. If God says your best is 90%, then that is your best. But you must give God 100% OF YOURSELF,

IN YOUR MIND,

IN YOUR HEART,

IN YOUR ACTIONS,

IN THE WAY YOU TREAT PEOPLE,

and IN EVERYTHING!

Our goal should be 100% obedience! That is the only way!
