IT IS MORE THAN JUST BELIVING!

Simply believing in God, His Son Jesus and the precious Holy Spirit does not make us any different than Satan and his demons”! When this fact is taught people do not want to hear it! Why? Because they are going to HAVE to do something! And they are comfortable right where they are! The following scripture must be discussed!

^“You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.” James 2:19 (NIV)

I honestly believe that Satan and his demons, fear God much more than most people on earth. I will tell you why. The demons and Satan were once angels in Heaven before they chose to rebel against God! Therefore, they are very knowledgeable and very aware of who God is and they “believe” TOTALLY that He is the Most High God! Why? Because they have LIVED in Heaven with God! Therefore, they know more about God than we do! God created the world and the Heavens and everything in it! And Everything within God’s creation belongs to HIM! Everything! He created Satan, He created the angels, and He created us! God is the Creator of everything and everything within His creation – belongs to Him!

NOW! Lucifer was the most beautiful of all the Angels! In fact, he was the number one angel! Evidently that was NOT ENOUGH for him! So, what was Satan’s problem? THIS! He wanted to sit on the throne of God! He wanted to be the MOST HIGH! Satan wanted to call the shots in his life! He wanted to make his own choices and do everything his way – in Heaven and on earth and that includes US! Why all of this! Because he wanted to be in charge of everything! He did not like God’s way of doing things – he wanted his own way! He flat out did not TRUST God with his life! He did not want God to tell him what to do! Sound familiar? Is that the way WE want things in our lives?

So, what is my point? This! The saying of a sinner’s prayer, the making of a profession of Faith, saying you are a Christian, confessing you “believe in Jesus” is not enough - it is so much more than that! It is all about OBEDIENCE! It is FAR more than just believing! And you cannot obey unless you can hear God’s voice! You see God is the Boss! And if you cannot hear what the Boss is saying – you cannot obey!

The bottom line is this – WE, MUST WORK OUT OUR SALVATION! We must allow God DAILY to tell us what to do! We are God’s Servants! He is NOT our servant! We MUST do something! The working out of our Salvation requires this: WE MUST TRUST AND OBEY – FOR THERE IS NO OTHER WAY!
