Jesus The Christ!

The Supremacy of Christ

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.” (Colossians 1:15-19 NRSV)

God Has Spoken by His Son

Long ago God spoke to our ancestors in many and various ways by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom he also created the worlds. (Hebrews 1:1-3 NRSV)

For in him, bodily, lives the fullness of all that God is. (Colossians 2:9 JNT)

“He (Jesus) is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact imprint of God’s very

being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word.” (Hebrews 1:3 NRSV)

I have said the following many times and I’m sharing again: There are individuals who read this information and get offended because they so want Jesus to be who they want him to be rather than who He really is! Why? Because, if they know who Jesus really is - suddenly, they have responsibility to do what He did!

So, what happens when an individual hears or reads this lesson and gets offended?
Their heart intent is - revealed!

This lesson shows the unfathomable measure of Jesus life that He gave up for us. Plus, this lesson glorifies Jesus’ whole existence on this earth! However, when it is taught those who hear or read this – are forced to make a choice – they either follow Jesus’ example or they walk away. Whichever way they choose the responsibility is put on each person to make their own choice!

The minute we take away Jesus’ ability to do everything better than we can - suddenly, we are that much more responsible for how we walk as people who claim to be Christians.

Those who are trying to do the right thing with the right heart intent – they are willing to hear and see the truth of what is taught through this lesson. Why? Because, it encourages them to do even better. However, people who do not want to do their best do not want to hear it! It offends them!”

Yes, indeed! I tell you that whoever trusts in me will also do the works I do! Indeed, he will do greater ones, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12 CJB)

People who want to do what they want to do – just keep saying how marvelous Jesus was and how wonderful Jesus was and how we can never be like him. Because, that is what they want to hear. They do not want to hear this message! They do not want to do greater things! They do not want the responsibility that goes with doing greater things!

They want Jesus to do greater things for them – never mind them doing greater things for HIM!

I want to make sure there is no mistaking what is being said here: Jesus is the Son of the Living God and His Holiness was God in the form of a man!

One more time: I want to make sure there is NO mistake in what I am teaching, or in what I’m about to say or what I’m saying! Jesus is the Son of the Living God, He is our Savior, and when He walked this earth His Holiness was God in the form of a man!

The WORD became FLESH!

When Jesus came to this Earth as a baby, He had made the choice to leave the Kingdom of Heaven and enter this world with nothing! By nothing, I mean this. Jesus gave up everything so that He could lay down his life and be a sacrifice for us! In so doing He gave us a chance to come to the saving grace of being able to walk in the victory of salvation instead of walking in failure.

When Jesus came to this earth as a newborn baby, He came here stripped of all knowledge of God the Father!  Why?  Because that is the way we enter this world! Our Savior loved us so much He was willing to come into this earthly sinful world just like everyone has too! More than that He came here stripped of His power, wisdom, and His position. He literally lowered Himself to show you and me how to walk on this earth in power and in the security and protection of God’s love. Jesus was literally “transformed” into a human like us! He was made lower than the angels for a time so He could - carry out his Father’s will!

“You made him a little lower than the angels, you crowned him with glory and honor...”
(Hebrews 2:7 CJB)

But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.” Hebrews 2:9 NIV)

For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants. For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.” Hebrews 2:16-17 (NIV

Though he was in the form of God, he did not regard equality with God something to be possessed by force. On the contrary, he emptied himself, in that he took the form of a slave by becoming like human beings are.

And when he appeared as a human being, he humbled himself still more

by becoming obedient even to death —

death on a stake as a criminal!

Philippians 2:6-8 (C

The God of Jesus!
Ephesians 1:17

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” Ephesians 1:17

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.” (II Corinthians 1:3)

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” (NIV) John 1:1

Jesus came to die for us, but He came for more reasons than that. You see when God has a plan, it is a complete plan, and it is a perfect plan! That is what we are going to look at in these lessons on this website. Do not misunderstand me, I am not minimizing Jesus death on the cross. If He had not chosen to die for us, our sins would not have been paid for, because, there had to be a sacrifice for us, and He willingly became that sacrifice.

Every iota of what Jesus did on this earth was important, it was super important. In this lesson, we are going to look at Jesus’ walk on this earth, we are going to look at the man Jesus. We need to come to a full understanding of Jesus’ moment to moment walk while here on the earth; because that walk is our example of how to live! In looking at how Jesus did things, we can learn to walk in peace and in freedom. Jesus came to set us free! What kind of God would come just to die on the cross in order to allow us to have eternal life in Heaven, and not deal with the rest of our life here on earth? What about our day to day struggles?  What about all the problems we face on a moment to moment basis? What about all the fears we have? What about all the rejection we feel in our lives? Does God care about that? Of course, He does! What kind of God would leave us to struggle daily for years and years without any instruction on how to live? Are there guidelines in the written word? Yes! There are allot of do’s and allot of don’ts, and a great deal of do this and don’t do that’s. However, Jesus took all those dos and don’ts and set the example. Without His example I do not know what I would have done!

I am here to tell you that God did not leave a stone unturned. There is a way to get through life, in freedom and in peace. Jesus came here to show you and I how it can be accomplished! However, we need to emphasize something first. Contrary to popular opinion, we were placed on this Earth for everything we do, say, think, and speak to glorify God and that is exactly what Jesus did! Jesus fulfilled his purpose on this earth! His every thought, word and action glorified His Father. We also were created by the hand of God for a purpose! In and through His walk on this Earth, He showed us how to accomplish whatever God has for us to do!

Jesus was an overcomer! Jesus did not settle for being a survivor He overcame the obstacles in His life! On earth! Jesus is our role model - not people on earth. Perhaps they can set an example for us perhaps and even inspire us but - they are not our role model!
