Obedience Is The Key!

“Obedience is the one thing that decides man’s destiny!” (Andrew Murray)

The key to God’s heart is obedience! Here is why. “We are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who OBEY Hm!” (Acts 5:29-32)

“When faith becomes obedience than it is FAITH indeed!” (A.W. Tozer)

There is no obedience unless you trust God! Obedience comes from - trusting!

Obedience sets you free! Without obedience there is no boldness, no liberty, and no confidence!

The walk of obedience is – FELLOWSHIP with God!

Grace works in the lives of those people with the RIGHT heart intentions and especially for those who walk in obedience! Therefore, Grace only works in your life IF your heart intentions are right!

Forced obedience is outward. You can force someone to obey! However, you cannot force them to love you!

God will not force Himself on anyone because forced love is not love at all! Nor will God force OBEDIENCE on anyone – because forced or fake obedience has nothing to do with sovereignty or power!

When we step out of God’s will for our life (which is obedience), and we step into disobedience – we have just stepped out of - God’s Grace!

Jesus had to learn obedience just like we have too! “During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who OBEY him!” (Hebrews 5:7-9 (NIV)

“Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” (John 14:23 NIV)

Obedience MUST be an everyday thing! We must ask God everything! It doesn’t take more than one day to get off course!

Your obedience to God means more than your needs! God is NOT motivated by your needs – He is motivated by your obedience! God has no obligation to help us because of a need!

Jesus did not come to this earth to do His will – so what makes us think we are here to do what we want?

It should be a delight for us to walk in obedience and make God proud!

A Working Principle!

It is one thing to say you love God, it is quite another to follow Him in obedience!

Let me say this . . . if you are looking for a smooth life, you better look in another direction, because the life on the narrow road isn’t it. It is a life of sacrifice because it “Ain’t about you”! If you are looking for a life, where you can have lots of fun - it isn’t this one! If you are looking for a life, where you can have a bunch of friends and go out to eat all the time and take long vacations and be stroked by people; this isn’t what you are looking for!

And if that is the case - then you are coming after God for the wrong reasons!

The age-old question is being asked once again, and here it is: Do you want God to have His way in your life? If you do, here is the working principle:
