Stop Faking it and let God Change YOU!

^“Don’t you know that in a race all the runners compete, but only one wins the prize? So then, run to win! Now every athlete in training submits himself to strict discipline, and he does it just to win a laurel wreath that will soon wither away. But we do it to win a crown that will last forever. Accordingly, I don’t run aimlessly but straight for the finish line; I don’t shadow-box but try to make every punch count. I treat my body hard and make it my slave so that, after proclaiming the Good News to others, I myself will not be disqualified.” 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (CJB)

The church of Jesus Christ can’t be one that sits and doesn’t change! It must be a church where fakery and phoniness are not prevalent! God wants a church where there is truth and honesty and obedient!

People have said to me, “When I start coming to church, things in my life start to get harder.” I have also heard people say: “After I said a sinner’s prayer and ask God into my life things started getting tough! I think it is Satan bugging me!”

Have you ever heard statements like that? I want to share with you in all honesty and loving kindness I have told those who have made these statements to me:

“YOU THINK? Do you really think that Satan and his underlings are going to sit back and say the following: “OH! Look at so and so they just dedicated their life to following God! How sweet is that? Let’s all stop and wish them well!” Of course, Satan is going to come at you! What did you expect?

Now, let’s look at it from a different perspective. Will God allow stuff to come up, so that you will begin to work out your salvation with Him? Yes! However, He will work issues out with you in the simplest way possible! The following is what I call a got to list:

Got To List!

Got to stop sweeping problems in our lives under the rug!
Got to get our problems on the table to allow God to address them!
Got to allow God to be brutally honest with us!
Got to allow God to give us direction on how to handle our problems!
Got to follow the direction God gives us! ANDobey!
Got to push through, and not give up!
Got to understand, by following this process we learn to trust God with every aspect of our lives!

“If you don’t believe, and realize you have to give up things, if you don’t believe you have to strip yourself of things; than your heart is not changing, and you are just going through the motions!” (sw-h)

The Difference!

Walking alongside God: Going to Him when you need something!

Walking with God: Is when we have given Him complete and total allowance to rule our lives in every way!

For someone to understand the difference between walking alongside God, and walking with God, they must see others do it! Plus, they must hear the difference in other people’s testimonies.

Four Steps!

Make the Holy Spirit the Lord of your life!

Take the mask off!

Be Honest and true to God!

Continue being transformed unto God!

The Mind of Christ

If we want the mind of Christ, we must allow God to change and rearrange us. If you think the mind of Christ is automatically deposited in us when we say the Salvation prayer, look around you!

“The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment: For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ”.

The mind of Christ is the mind of the Transformed and the Sanctified!
